Diamond Art Deco Ring

Diamond Art Deco rings have become very popular in recent years. The reason they have become popular in recent years stems in large part from the fact that many celebrities have chosen to wear this style of rain. Our society has a tendency to be celebrity driven. So when various celebrities begin to wear a certain style of clothing or certain style of jewelry, people have a tendency to follow along. If you are a person who has been interested in this type of ring, you need to realize that there are a lot of options available to you.

Stop and think about how difficult it can sometimes be first to make simple decisions. Now imagine how difficult it will be for somebody to buy a diamond Art Deco ring when they are making a purchase for somebody else. We are really talking about a situation where a person has a very high likelihood of becoming overwhelmed. Not only that, but the pressure of making the right decision can also lead some people to feel extremely anxious and panic stricken. Here are some tips to help you.

We all know that money does not grow on trees. So it is important that you establish some boundaries with respect to how much money you’re willing to spend on a diamond ring. Generally speaking, many experts suggest that you consider spending approximately 2 months of your salary. This is especially true if you are purchasing a diamond Art Deco ring for a loved one who you are interested in marrying. Regardless of what you choose, it is important that you have a clear mental picture of how much money you are prepared to spend. The last thing that you want to do is walk into a jewelry store without having a clearly defined budget in mind. Why not?

You need to keep in mind that jewelry store salespeople are trained to try to make sales. That is their job. If you come in and have no idea about how much money you are prepared to spend, there is a very strong likelihood that you will be persuaded into purchasing a diamond ring that may be more than what you can afford. This can easily be solved by having a clear sense of how much you can spend before you ever walk into the store.

Something else you may want to consider. Take a friend with you. We all know they can be difficult enough to make simple decisions in our lives. Having somebody with you who can help you make a decision regarding what ring to get can be very helpful. Do not make the mistake of assuming that taking somebody with you will only make matters more confusing. Nothing could be further from the truth. Having somebody with you will actually help clarify the entire process and make it a lot easier for you. Here’s the bottom line: shopping around for an Art Deco diamond ring can be the experience of a lifetime. Just make sure that you are prepared and that you know what you’re looking for.

I like Art Deco and some of the Pearl Rings, but I don’t want people to think that I am a cheap skate for not getting diamonds.

I have a very strong suspicion (read: I accidentally found the ring) that I am getting proposed to on my boyfriend and my 4th anniversary. I want to buy him something to surprise him even though we agreed not to buy each other anniversary gifts. I think that it’s not fair that I get a beautiful heirloom type gift and he doesn’t also get something meaningful. So I am buying him an antique pocket-watch as an engagement present. He is the type of guy who wears vintage suits and a black fedora when he dresses up (which is frequently) and I just thought he would appreciate a pocket watch. My question is, mostly to the guys, but girls, your input also appreciated: A. What do you think about the whole male-engagement present? and B. Guys, would you be excited about getting a gift such as the pocket watch I am getting for my man?

          Thanks guys!

            Stereotype me…….?

i dont want to post a pic coz thats kinda weird.. no offence

i bleach my hair blonde and i have a belly button ring but thats my only piercing (i dont even have my ears done, i never wanted them)
i am kind of skinny i guess, i’m 5’8 and a US size 4, and i don’t really have big boobs, but it does look as though i have implants when i wear a singlet or tank top. i wear like a 32B-32C (you cant get smaller than 32anything in aus unless you pay like for a bra at BnT)
i normally wear skinny jeans, ripped jeans, or short shorts, with band/vintage t shirts or tank tops/singlets. i also like hoodies, and things that are heather grey
converse, sneakers etc i hate heels/sandals etc
i listen to fake 00s metal, coz i havent been able to get into the real thing. classic rock is OK too.
i do track and soccer at school, and athletics
i go to parties on the weekend but i dont really get drunk. it takes too much alcohol for that :P and i love going to shows
i take caffeine pills so its like im high all the time but im not. they just make me more confident.
i dont wear make up, unless my bags are really bad, then i wear concealer.
i have "messy sex hair" (i hate brushing) that makes me look "dirty".
i think im pretty but i dont go rubbing it into people’s faces or anything and i dont make a huge deal. i mean, its just me :P

and i have quite a few friends but none of my best friends go to my school
            im 15 btw.

Glue and screw or nail 1/4" Birch subfloor?

I have a vintage home with 3" wide T&G boards for my kitchen subfloor that run the same direction I want to lay a new Brazilian Cherry hardwood floor. I have height issues with the dining room floor and I don’t want to have to pull up the original subfloor to lay 3/4 plywood. What I have now is still real solid. I got advice to lay down some 1/4" plywood (I think they said Birch) but forgot to ask how to secure it. I already have ring shank nails. Should I use those or glue and screw the plywood instead? This is a one man (me) job and I can imagine the glue would be a PITA to do by myself.

              - So should I glue it?
              - If so, what kind of glue specifically (brand, type, etc)?
              - And is Birch the right wood to do this with?

              Thanks in advance.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over 5 years, and we are almost ready to take the next step. We have been looking at rings, and I’ve shown him ones that I really adore, and their not super expensive but their not dirt cheap. So average I suppose? I really like the round little diamond and then a vintage type setting.

So this is what he said to me last night when we were talking about it. "I don’t really like diamonds, and I know you don’t either. I am NOT getting you one no matter what, they are too expensive, and you are snobby. You should be happy with a ring from the gumball machine if it means we are getting married" I got upset, I DO like diamonds, I am fine with a little one, and a less expensive one. I have always wanted a diamond engagement ring, from when I was little. Not because I’m trying to be snobby.I work full time, have for a long time, and am not spoiled or snobby one bit. I just have always loved diamond rings, even if their little.

He then said, "I will get you whatever I like, and It’s going to most likely be a pink ruby or some other kind of pink stone. If you like diamonds that much, I’ll get you a cubic zirconia"

And I got really upset..it’s like he’s telling me i’m not good enough. I know he has enough money for a better ring, he works and can save up for it in a few months. But he doesn’t want to spend HIS money on a diamond for me. I was crying and in complete awe at how he was acting. Like he is telling me NO to a small diamond ring even though that’s what I want, just because HE doesn’t like it and finds it stupid to pay for it.
Wildchild, there is no tradition, etc..I just love diamonds and always have.
